Katsumi "Gutsy" Oyama ...... Class of 1956
Graduated from Waimea High School in 1956. Employed on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Lived on the Westside in Waimea all of his life. Joined the Waimea Senior Center and actively participates as a member, leader and coordinator of numerous events. Actively supports and volunteers at Waimea High School Athletics and all community sporting events. Assists coaches and players both on and off the playing field as needed. Invaluable to the Waimea Community and referred to fondly as the "Mayor of Waimea Town".

Dennis "Mo" Kauahi ...... Class of 1963
Employed 42 years as Deputy Director of the Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center. Served as commissioner for State of Hawaii Hawaiian Home Lands Department. Member of the Ah Kane Foundation for the Advancement of Native Hawaiian Males, Participated with the Child Welfare League of America's Western Region Steering Committee, UH School of Social Work Kupuna Advisory Council, Hospice Hawaii. Wrote articles on Traditional Healing Principles and Practices to Restore Native Communities. 2012 Awarded Native Hawaiian Health Award from Papa Ola Lokahi for dedication in improving health of Native Hawaiians and the National Association Of Social Workers Lifetime Achievement Award. 2013 Honpa Hongwanji Living Treasure Award for preserving the spirit, traditions and values of our island home for future generations.

Gwendolyn "Nani" Ching Hill ...... Class of 1963
Outstanding educator that has taught in California, Minnesota, American Samoa and Kamehameha School on Oahu. Served as Regional Manager for Kameharneha's Early Education Program or KEEP at Kekaha School and the Early Childhood Programs at Kaumakani and Anahola. Mentored many teachers, sharing her expertise in curriculum development and planning. Called to serve at the Koloa Union Church as its minister and is presently at the Hanapepe Hawaiian Christian Church. Participates with Nana's House, The Kauai Hospice Board and Spiritual Care Committee, the Kauai County Planning Commission, Good Beginnings Alliance, the Kauai Early Childhood Center at KeC and facilitates on Advisory Committee for Ka Ala Hoku Program.

Alson Kanahele ...... Class of 1963
Armed with a BA in Accounting and MBA in Accounting & Auditing, Audited multi-million dollar DOD contracts at the Seattle Field Office. Employed 22 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, California, Indiana, Washington DC, as Chief Accountant, Controller, Chief Auditor, Special Agent Internal Affairs Division, Warden: FCI, Terminal Island, Los Angeles, CA and MCC San Diego, CA. Employed by the GEO Group, Inc., as Director of Special Investigations, Office of Professional Responsibility, conducting investigations of staff wrongdoings and corruption in company owned prisons.

Anthony "Tony" Yea ...... Class of 1979
Recognized for the countless hours given to the school, churches and the community. Shared his cooking skills with the JROTC's Awards Recognition Dinner, Menehune Booster Club's Menehune Legacy Hall of Honor Dinner, Food Booth at WHS football games. Assisted the West Kauai Lions with their huli huli chicken fundraiser and the Waimea Higashi Hongwanji with their bazaar, bon dance, mochi making, and other events. Actively involved with WAFFs annual luau and carnival, provides, cooking expertise, construction skills and constant support.
